Due to the galloping growth of the desalination field to help supply water to an exploding active thirsty population, there has been a surge in the number of scientists and engineers involved in water desalting and wastewater reclamation. Following this growth, there has been a flood of papers from scientists and engineers, academia, government and industry from all regions of the world recording results of work in the lab or from operation of plants flowing into the editorial office from about 100 countries. This information needs to be disseminated promptly and widely to the expanding desalination and water community as it is constantly advancing and changing. New ideas are often presented at conferences attended by few. Peer reviewed papers are conveyed through the journal. There is a need to extend the coverage to accommodate additional selected papers promptly. We are ready to meet this challenge with this new publication.Desalination and Water Treatment is dedicated to research and application of desalination technology, environment and energy considerations, integrated water management, water reuse, wastewater and related topics. 期刊简介：The journal was founded in 2006 at the University of Naples Federico II by Giuseppe Cringoli, John B. Malone, Robert Bergquist and Laura Rinaldi. The focus of the journal is on all aspects of the application of geographical information systems, remote sensing, global positioning systems, spatial statistics and other geospatial tools in human and veterinary health. The journal publishes two issues per year.

期刊简介：Hystrix the Italian Journal of Mammalogy accepts papers on original research in basic and applied mammalogy on fossil and living mammals. The Journal is published both in paper and electronic "online first" format. Manuscripts can be published as full papers or short notes, as well as reviews on methods or theoretical issues related to mammals. Commentaries can also be occasionally accepted, under the approval by the Editor in Chief. Investigations of local or regional interest, new data about species distribution and range extensions or confirmatory research can be considered only when they have significant implications. Such studies should preferably be submitted as short notes. Manuscripts bearing only a local interest will not be accepted.Full papers have no limits in length as well as in figure and table number and are abstracted in English. Authors are encouraged to add supplemental material in form of colour figures, original datasets and/or computer program source code.Supplemental material and colour figures will appear only on the electronic edition.Short notes must be about 16000 characters long (including title, author names and affiliations, abstract and references), and do not include supplemental material. They are abstracted in English.Proceedings of symposia, meetings and/or workshops, and technical reports can be published as special supplements to regular issues, under the approval by the Editor in Chief and the Associate Editors.There are no page charges.
