The Journal of Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary journal which publishes articles relating to gender and sex from a feminist perspective covering a wide range of subject areas including the Social, Natural and Health Sciences, the Arts, Humanities, Literature and Popular Culture. We seek articles from around the world that examine gender and the social construction of relationships among genders. As a journal with a broad disciplinary readership we aim to publish papers accessible to this readership. Peer Review Policy: Research articles published in this journal have undergone editorial screening and double-blind peer review. Editors reserve the right to reject submissions of poor quality, or of limited relevance to our readers, prior to peer review. Authors with English as a second language may need the guidance of a first-language speaker or academic proof-reader before submitting. We do not accept papers in poor English or in draft-form. Authors should be alert to the growing number of high quality papers in this field and the growth in the number of submissions to this journal which have led to increased competition for publication.Before submitting a paper authors should check that their citation and formatting complies exactly with the Instructions to Authors.
