Comments on Inorganic Chemistry is intended as a vehicle for concisely and authoritatively written critical discussions of recent important developments in inorganic chemistry. Through the medium of these "Comments" the editors hope to make it easy and enticing for the specialist in a given area of inorganic chemistry -- synthesis, structure, spectroscopy, kinetics and mechanisms, theory -- to learn about interesting work in other areas. The journal is meant not only for the inorganic chemist but non-inorganic chemists, biologists and physicists as well. A "Comment" is an expert guide to the important progress in individual fields -- progress that is frequently lost in the already vast and growing literature. Each article conveys the author's personal comments and point of view. From time to time, comments on topical conferences will be included. All contributions are solicited by the editors.
