该杂志出版热带生物学和保护的所有领域的文章，并直接面向科学和技术公众。手稿的选择标准是新信息的数量、质量和普通读者的兴趣。具有较强的实验设计、较长时间的实地工作和对整个群体的分类系统研究是被接受的论文的典型特征。我们不发表:只在先前已知的现象、初步研究、通讯、物种列表、笔记或其他短文中添加细节或案例的研究，或有限兴趣的高度专门化的报告。我们欢迎不请自来的评论文章，这些文章对热带生物学和保护某些特定领域的成就、有争议的方面和未来研究的主要目标进行了批判性的评论。

英文简介

The journal publishes articles in all fields of tropical biology and conservation, and is directed to a scientific and technical public. Selection criteria for manuscripts are the amount of new information, quality, and interest to a general readership. Studies with a strong experimental design, prolonged field work and taxonomic-systematic studies of whole groups are typical of the papers that are accepted. We do not publish: studies that only add details or cases to previously known phenomena, preliminary studies, communications, species lists, notes or other short articles, or highly specialized reports of limited interest. We welcome unsolicited review articles that critically review the achievements, controversial aspects and main goals for future research of some particular field of tropical biology and conservation.
